Lenette Horton (George Reid) Encouraging Words August 30, 2008

To the Family and Friends:

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to each of you. Although we are not acquainted with one another, we all know what it feels like to lose one of our loved ones to death. Our Heavenly Father feels the pain that you are going through. He promises that the day is soon to come in which he will wipe the tears of sorrow from our eyes forever and death will be no more. (Revelation 21:3-5) He also promises that all those in the memorial tombs (graves) will hear his voice and come out. (John 5:28,29) Until his words are fulfilled may each of you continue to take comfort in him.

coyote Adrian, Nick and Family, August 22, 2008

Adrian, Nick, and Family, It has taken me so long to grassp that we have lost such a wonderful person..... The treasure's that Pauline had were kindness, warmth, the ability to care for others, love, and the strenght to keep going...... These are the things you will carry with you for the rest of your lives. No matter if she saw us everyday, everyweek, or once a year. She always opened her heart to each and everyone of us.To have had her in my life was such a blessing. When I had ask your mom to be in our wedding, and she said yes, the joy I held that day is still and always will be in my heart and soul.I wish to know each and everyone of you. So please if there is anything I can do, please call. Grandma has all of my number's. Your uncle Ben would of been so proud of you, and your brother for the strenght you have shown your family. We love you all! Although mom is resting now, she  will always be a part of your day. She lives in you, and in  your children..... Remember..... When you need to be with her.... Close your eyes.... and meet her in your dreams.

I am not sure where to start, all I know is that losing your mom has turned my life crazy.  There is NOT a day that goes by that I don't think about her.   I feel and felt very honored to have your mom chose me to confide in. We became SO close. I don't know why she chose me, she did say once "because I was strong, and she wanted me to take care of my mom for her" and that when she talked to me "I understood what she was saying and feeling ". All I did was listen. I truly cherished those moments that she called to say hi, even though your mom was sick herself, she was always calling me to see how I was doing, I would tell her how I was doing and then she would tell me how she was doing. She knew she could tell me ANYTHING and I would stand by her side. She told me so much. She always talked about  how much she loved you BOTH! She was PROUD of you guys!   She was forever telling me how much she was going to miss her grandkids, she would say that they brought her "so much happiness and they didn't even know it." She was so scared to leave because she was worried how everyone would think of her. I always told her we knew how hard she was fighting. Your mom was a fighter she never once gave up. Even though there were some rough times, especially towards the end, she still wanted to fight and I truly admire her for that. I loved her upbeat attitude at life. However down the chemo treatments made her feel or the medications, she was always looking on the bright side ready to try the next adventure. Your mom's courage was unstoppable and to me she was a warrior and survivor in her own right. Most people would have probably given up and your mom rose to the occasion fighting every step of the way. I love you guys and I will forever love your mom,  I really do miss her so much! She will forever have a piece of my heart.  She truly took a piece of me when she left.  I know your hurt and pain that you are going through and I am here for both of you, always. I love you guys.

Summer In Memory July 18, 2008
In Memory:

A thousand times we needed you
A thousand times we cried
If love alone could have saved you
you never would have died
A heart of gold stopped beating
two twinkling eyes closed to rest
God broke our hearts to prove he only took the best
never a day goes by that you’re not in my heart and my soul.

Summer In Memory of You July 18, 2008

I find an old photograph
and see your smile.
As I feel your presence anew,
I am filled with warmth
and my heart remembers love.

I read an old card
sent many years ago
during a time of turmoil and confusion.
The soothing words written then
still caress my spirit
and bring me peace.

I remember who you used to be
the laughter we shared
and wonder what you have become.
Where are you now,
Where did you go,
When the body is left behind
and the spirit is released to fly?

Perhaps you are the morning bird
singing joyfully at sunrise,
or the butterfly that dances
so carelessly on the breeze
or the rainbow of colors
that brightens a stormy sky
or the fingers of afternoon mist
delicately reaching over the mountains
or the final few rays of the setting sun
lighting up the skies
edging the clouds with a magical glow.

I miss your being
but I feel your presence,
In whatever form you choose to take,
however you now choose to be.

Your spirit has become for me
a guardian angel on high
guiding, advising, and watching over me.

I remember you.
You are with me
and I am not afraid

Summer Adrian and Nicholas July 18, 2008

To Adrian and Nicholas,

It has taken me awhile to get up the nerve to write to you....Although my situation was a little different, I know what it is like to lose someone very close to you.  It has been 11 years since my brother passed away unexpectantly and there is not a day that goes by that I don't miss him or think about him.  I would do anything to have him back but at the same time I believe that he is in a better place and God is taking care of him and that he is watching over my family.  Just like Pauline is in a better place and is watching over all of her family.  I have learned that you can't dwell on the WHY but think of all the good times. REMEMBER conversations, thoughts, laughter, feelings that you shared with Pauline.  God received an ANGEL with Pauline....an Angel that is watching over all of us and will give us all the strength to get through this sad time. I am always here if you need to talk...
